The real limiting factor for AI adoption will not be leaders who can't change culture

The real limiting factor for AI adoption will not be technologies that can’t do tasks, or people who can’t learn technologies, but leaders who can’t change culture.
In the early days of the internet, people argued whether digital pureplays of bricks-n-clicks would win. The answer was mixed. In some cases (Amazon vs Barnes and Noble) it was the pureplay who won, although not in the most internet native form (which was eBay.) In other cases (New York Times vs. lots of people) the incumbent successfully extended to digital.
With AI, I cannot see a VP of Engineering going to his CEO, saying they can reduce staff by 90%, and ask to be demoted to a Director because his span is now so small. On the other hand, the big players (Meta, Google, etc.) have the best models and data to train them.
But from a supply perspective, I am betting on entrants who build companies around AI workflows.
